The Lust List

currently coveting

Memorial day has passed and that means it’s officially summer. New season, new wardrobe, right? As if. I guess it can’t stop me from drooling over my computer screen, though. So I’ve re-allocated the time spent crying about my bank account balance to time spent compiling a list of my current must-haves, which I’ve called my Lust List. Let’s dig in.

Ahhh, culottes.. love ’em or hate ’em they keep coming back. At the moment I’m especially loving the pinstripes on this pair from Finders Keepers. They have such an effortless summertime feel and can be transformed for a night out with a simple change from sandals to heels. This perfect Intermix knit tank is more than your regular tank top thanks to its built-in breathability; talk about innovation. If there’s one item on this list that’s truly versatile it’s got to be this one. This awesome suede Topshop skirt totally fits the ’70s vibes the fashion world has been raving about. Not to mention, it also comes in a midi version perfect for pairing with an off-the-shoulder bell sleeve top.

These studded espadrilles are to die for, literally: I could only afford them with my life’s savings. How perfect is the mix of rocker-chic with casual cool? They’re the perfect everyday take on everyone’s favorite Valentino t-strap pumps. But don’t worry, I’m not over studs just yet. The star studs on the lust-worthy Matisse x Kate Bosworth boots make a statement. Pair them with mom jeans and a tee and you’ll look as cool as it gets.

As more of a minimalist, I’ve never been one to pile on the jewelry. That’s why I’m constantly coveting sunglasses and handbags. Like this one: you can never go wrong with a Chloé bag, especially the timeless Drew in a fun snakeskin print. Don’t let the snake print scare you away from this handbag, it’s neutral enough for almost any outfit. Another must-have for the summer is obviously a cool pair of shades. Sunglasses aren’t just sun-blockers anymore, they’re a serious accent. The blue mirrored lenses on these Illesteva shades are of-the-moment and act as the best “hater-blockers” money can buy, plus the tortoise shell frames are inherently classic.

I’m sure my exhaustive lust list would be, well, exhaustive, so I’ll spare you. These on-trend items are totally splurge worthy; once you have them you’ll wonder how you’ve lived without them. Here’s hoping a few of these perfect pieces land in my closet (again, as if).

xx,
